It's bothering the feminist in me that we haven't been able to find any nice children's books about a mother/daughter relationship. It seems to be saying that only boys are interesting enough to write books about, and that girls are only interesting if they are "daddy's little girl."
I may have to rant about this at some point, but for now I'm going to keep looking.
