An article at PlanetOut.com says that the gay marriage issue was one of the things the gave the election to Bush. On The Daily Show last night, Jon Stewart said something like, we've lost jobs, the deficit is huge, the war in Iraq is a big mess, but "none of these things trumps dudes kissing." His guest, a Democrat, said that the Democrats are going to have to do some hard thinking about that.

I hope they don't decide this means they shouldn't support gay rights.

We're going to be blamed for the loss of the election.
