Yay! DOMA is struck down!

I usually post this sort of thing on Twitter, but these two decisions seem to have broken Twitter. So Yay! for DOMA struck down, and Yay! for Prop 8 being punted for lack of standing!

The Supreme Court screwed up yesterday with the VRA, but they got it right today :)

Oh, and Yay! to Texas Senator Wendy Davis and the active citizens of Texas for defeating the anti-abortion law, SB5!

Initially, Republicans insisted the vote started before the midnight deadline and passed the bill that Democrats spent the day trying to kill. But...official computer records and printouts of the voting record showed the vote took place Wednesday, and then were changed to read Tuesday

I believe that's illegal. Someone should look into that.
