On another topic completely--I'm trying to get out of debt. Last month, I paid off one of my credit cards (I thought) and canceled it. I just received a bill for $0.67. It will cost me $0.37 to mail a check (plus the cost of the check). The minimum payment I can make online is $1.00, so it will essentially cost me $0.33 to pay online. Or I could call them and see if they will adjust it off my account.

*sigh*

I think the time I'll spend being annoyed on the phone will cost me more than $.33.

Plus pain and suffering.

I wonder how many customers per year just say, "Fuck it. I'll waste the $0.33." I wonder how much free money the credit cards get each year. I'm putting way too much thought into this. It's just annoying, you know? I think I would rather give the P.O. $0.37 than give my ex-credit card $0.33. I'll be so glad when I no longer have credit cards that trigger stupid things like this.

Re mood icon: That's right Mikey, I want the credit card company to stop rubbing my head.

I could be wrong, but in my experience, if I over pay, after a few months they reimburse me the difference. And if you close the card, they have to reimburse you the difference.

So, I could make them spend 37 cents to send me a refund for 33 cents? *g*
