Even if you don't care about American Idol or Kradam, you MUST read astolat's new fic, House of the Living. It is one of the best stories I've ever read. Just brilliant! Gripping, angsty, exciting, romantic, and throughout it a searing thread of social commentary about fame, politics, love, connection, alienation...really, just a brilliant story. I can't recommend it enough.

And I'm actually pretty good, thanks. I feel like my life is kind of back on track a little. I spent most of last year in kind of a daze, and I only started to wake up maybe in March. I guess because it had been a year, you know?

And then I accidentally became insanely obsessed with American Idol. Never watched the show before, but this season--just nuts. And it's made me very happy, which is pretty cool. *g* And of course, running through all that is the thought of how my sister would be making so much fun of me if she were here for my new Adam Lambert crush. heh!

I hope you're doing well, too. I've been trying to get caught up on my flist over the past month, but with, what, five months of AI obsession taking me away from my flist....whew!

i understand about that daze very well. glad you've been waking up. i also understand about the obsession. that's what being in fandoms can feel like to me, and it can make me happy too!

things are going pretty well for me, thanks. right now i'm just getting through the summer. life always picks up again in the fall, once my son's in school. ;)
