I have to post something so I don't see "Christopher Reeve" as the subject line every time I come to my LJ to check my friends list. It makes me sad.

So! I made it through my first week of full-time work since the surgery. I'm exhausted, but that's mostly because my little bout of insomnia lasted the whole week (they don't usually last that long), and I had to jump start my car with a battery charger every day because while I was laid up my car didn't get driven and the battery was ruined. (Was that a run-on sentence? This has been a run-on week.) I had to get up two hours early on Friday to get a new battery installed and this was after Thursday, which was the day from hell. Thursday I was thinking, "Where the hell is my horoscope when I need to be warned that I'm going to have a bad day?"

Nothing worked on Thursday. I was trying to record phone calls for evaluations and I didn't manage to get one phone call recorded. Every time, the person I was trying to record was on break or at lunch or in a meeting or making outbound calls (I have to assess inbound calls) or just didn't get any calls or whatever. My office email wasn't working. Even the copy machine was fucking with me. I asked it to give me twenty collated and stapled copies of a little four page document. It did the twenty, and then started all over again. I think the button got stuck. Then it ran out of paper in the middle of the second (unwanted) set. I had to make more copies of one page, recollate it and staple everything myself, and I wound up with about fifty copies. And I had to fill up the paper trays in the copy machine. That's like two stacks of paper, each of which is three feet tall. Then I had to get the security guard to help me start my car when I got off work, because the battery was dead again. *sigh*

But Friday was better after the unfortunate early awakening and today was busy, but fine. And I'm done for a couple of days.

I'm finally going to get to watch my tape of this week's Smallville. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Next week I should be able to watch it on the very day that it airs, since I'll be working an early shift. Yay!

Glad to hear you're doing better now. Thursday night, I believe, was a new moon. I was up all night. It was horrible. New moon makes everything go crazy.

Was it you who mentioned on the TWOP boards she had one of Lanning Cook's "bunnies"? Those are soooooo adorable!!!!!

You may be right about the new moon. I usually pay attention to the moon phases, and use the new moon as a time to start new things. I hope my new thing to start on Thursday wasn't just being incompetent. :) Surely not. I started being competent again the next day.

And yes, I have the PWP plot bunny! :) It's so cute! I got a couple of her mugs, a plot bunny and I gave a grammar bear to my beast friend who is majoring in English in grad school. Lanning is very creative, isn't she?

The bunnies were all incredibly cute. It was one of the few times when I wished I could buy something online (but I don't even own a credit card, yadda yadda...). She's not only incredibly gifted when making icons and such, but also a great writer.. I read the Identical series, and I absolutely loved it. Especially the Grinch part *g*
