For this icon LJ community, just type in sv_icons into username search - which is the window at the top of your info page (or, uh, any page you view as a link once you're logged in).
When you go to the *info* page of sv_icons, you'll see the little buttons at the top and middle of the page that include a pen, a heart, etc. They all represent what you can do with the LJ entries, and tell you so when you place a mouse over them. The first one in the row will get you to post in the community. I've never actually uploaded a picture into an LJ entry, but I'm sure the LJ help (available in the top blue banner of info page) can offer some assistance.
