Someone just paid $28,000 on ebay for a ten-year-old grilled cheese sandwich upon which one can see the face of the Virgin Mary. I'm just putting this out there. I have no comment.

Yup. I saw it on the news. Had you seen it on ebay? This is the first I heard of it.

According to the news story, ebay didn't want to allow the transaction until both the seller and the buyer demonstrated that they were sincere. Um, delusional, but sincere.

I'm still betting on hoax - I bet for eBay publicity - after all, all thsoe news stories, eh?

And yep, I saw the eBay link when it was first making the rounds through LJ a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know...this was on my local news, and they showed a vid of the sandwich in it's little plastic container. Stay tuned, I guess. :)
