Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 24th, 2004 10:16 pmI'm thankful for my family
I'm thankful that my parents absolutely love having their grown daughter living with them.
I'm thankful that I get along well with my parents so that it's not a struggle living with them.
I'm thankful that all my family members get along with each other so well, and that we don't have all this jerryspringer type stuff going on so that we enjoy getting together once a week for a family dinner and holidays are a joy.
I'm thankful for my job, that I like it, that I'm good at it, that it's something I can see myself doing for a while, maybe even until retirement. I've never had that with any job before. I'm also thankful that I get along with all my co-workers.
I'm thankful for my friends, especially for my friend E who has been my best friend for thirty-two years.
I'm thankful for the internet. This is a new thing for me--I've only been spending a lot of time online for the past year or so. I'm thankful for all the news, information and entertainment available to me through the internet.
I'm thankful for Live Journal and for all the people whom I've met online here, who have friended me and whom I have friended.
I'm thankful for televisionwithoutpity.com, which has given me hours of entertainment, and also has some pretty cool people on it.
I'm thankful that I live in this state. Politically and socially it's sometimes a trial, but when I was driving to work this morning and looking at the fall foliage along the highway, my heart was filled with love for the countryside. It's a beautiful state. I love that so much of it is rural, but we still have venues for culture and entertainment. We even have a presidential library now. : )
I'm thankful that I live in this country. No matter how much of a mess it is right now, I still love it.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

And yes, it is gorgeous, especially up around Fayetteville. Let me know if you ever do visit--it would be cool to meet you in person.
