nifra_idril suggested that we have this today, and it sounds like a great idea to me.

I truly appreciate all my friends, and I try to let them know it by commenting in their journals. But--just in case someone doesn't know, here are a few special mentions, kind of in the order in which you were added to my flist:

dk_tigrrr, you were one of my first friends, and you're always there for me. You, along with garryowen listened to me whine about my surgery (among other things), offered me sympathy and made me smile.

garryowen, besides your wonderfulness as a person, I also admire your adventurousness as a writer. You keep writing, no matter how blocked you're feeling (which is just incredibly brave and determined), and your writing experiments are always interesting and entertaining. *big hug*

rhiannonhero--The writing, the writing, always the writing. Not just the fanfic, which is brilliant, and not just the original fic, which I am honored to be allowed to read and comment upon, but everything--you write about everything and you do it with skill and with an open heart.

serafina20--you are an amazingly prolific and talented writer. I love everything you've written, and I appreciate your giving me my very first opportunity to beta a fanfic.

emrinalexander--you always make me laugh my ass off. Your funny fanfics, your stories of Chez Hairball, your cute and endearing portrayals of characters--Clark/Lex/Tom/Mike/Kerri/Josiah and really, who could forget Earnest the snorfling reptilian pig/dog kryptomutant thingy. *G*

femme_fire--I love, love, love the icons you and tatood_moon have given me. :)

justabi--I am a true and wimpy fan of romance/schmoop/porn, but you hurt the pretty, pretty boys and make me like it. Not many authors can do that. When you are writing, you make me hurt so good, and when you are responding to comments, you make me laugh. You also introduced me to the writings of roxymissrose and thecaelum, which, in turn, introduced me to the authors, who are a couple of my favorite new friends.

roxymissrose--growing boys and schmoop and hot porn and angst and action/adventure and your "Previous parts are here doing various obscene things" and your response to my comments always absolutely cracks me up.

thecaelum--Wow! Your SV/Neverwhere crossover combines sci-fi and fantasy (my two favorite genres) seamlessly. If anyone is NOT reading this, btw, go to her LJ memories here right away! It's brilliant! Also, I love that you ALWAYS respond to my...er...thorough comments even if it takes you two posts.

mahaliem--You gave me the opportunity to beta one of your wonderful fics AND you agreed with one of my suggestions which gave the world more porn, which can only be a good thing.

mkitty_03--my brand spankin' new friend who is holding my hand and guiding me into the world of vidding. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate you. *smooch*
