I think I'm back online!

I'm pretty sure I once again have a reliable internet connection. Yay! It's been confusing and time-consuming getting the network back up and working with the new computer. This computer is so small that it doesn't have a PCI slot for me to put my old network adapter into, so I had to get a USB adapter. Then we had to get a signal booster to make up for that fact that I moved my computer across the room. You'd think I'd moved it across the street the way my connection kept dropping.

I've also managed to get my computer to stop being so incredibly secure that it won't let me do anything.

Me: click
Computer: OH MY FUCKING GOD SOMETHING IS TRYING TO EXECUTE...GASP...CODE!
Me: Um, I'm trying to play Spider Solitaire.
Computer: Oh. I need to shut down for a minute and think about this.
Me: Fuck. [reboot computer]

Me: click
Computer: HOLY SHIT! SOMETHING IS TRYING TO ACCESS THE INTERNET!
Me: Yeah, that would be my network adapter. It's supposed to do that.
Computer: Where are my pills? I need my pills! I need to lie down.
Me: Fuck. [reboot computer]

So anyway, I think I got that fixed, but I've probably left my poor little computer vulnerable to all kinds of things. But that's okay! I still love my computer! And I'm on the internet! Zipity do dah! *g*

Yes, but it makes up for it by being cute. *g* I finally figured out that my computer was freaking out because Windows was trying to work, so I had to change the security settings. Now that's>/i> secure!

You know, just while I've been typing this my internet connection has gone down and come back up about ten times. I'm beginning to think my oscillating fan has something to do with it.
