May. 9th, 2004 07:26 pmLJ is still logging me out. Very annoying.
Well! I finally got to see last week's Smallville. We had Mother's Day dinner Wednesday night, and now I'm watching Smallville on Mother's Day.
I really expected the Lexana scenes to be the most hurl-inducing, but, as it turned out, the Clex scenes were the worst. I hate that. I hate what they've done to our boys. *sigh* I hate that Clark treats Lex as if he were an idiot. I'm as tired of it as Lex is. And you can tell Clark knows he's being an ass, because he couldn't even meet Lex's eyes in that last scene. Clark says he's not ready to think of Lex as an enemy, and yet he's been treating him like shit for several episodes. So, Lex isn't an enemy, he's just Clark's bitch, is that it?
I really did love Lex's last line, though. I posted something about this on the TWoP site a couple of times, actually. Lex reminds me of the something I once read somewhere: Every villain is the hero of his own story. I believe Lex will see himself as a hero, fighting an "alien invasion," so to speak. And, after watching three seasons of Michael Rosenbaum's portrayal of Lex, I also think he's a hero.
Of course, that could be because I'm really pissed at Clark right now.

Date: 2004-05-13 05:56 am (UTC)My favourite one: Clark has finally realized that what used to be his crush on Lex in S1 has turned into something more profound and simply won't go away (as much as he wants it to, because all he wants to be is normal), and he's blaming Lex for it. That's why he's so pissy and always over-reacting. Part of it is subconscious, because he is not good at introspection. SEE? Fan-wanking all the way :)))
