Ack! My heart is broken!

Lex just looked so sad! That look on his face when Clark started bleeding was the exact opposite of the look on his face when Clark stopped Edge's car in Shattered. In that ep, he looked like all his dreams had come true. In this ep, he looked like all his dreams had died. He really wanted Clark to be Warrior Angel. And yeah, maybe it was partly because he wants to experiment on a real live alien for nefarious reasons, but it was also partly because he needs a hero. He needs Clark to be a hero. *sniff*

Okay, I'm really trying to be accepting of the Clana, but I'm sorry, it's just boring. Clark and Lana just have no chemistry, and they bore me when they are on screen together. *sigh*

I loved all the ridiculous Mission Impossible Chloe/Clark stuff. "Sometimes it's easier to just turn off the power." Hee!

Hey, did the force field twins remind anyone else of RiffRaff and Magenta? *g*

Lana actually made me laugh when she told the sheriff she started smoking after the meteor shower. "Stress." *g* Lana and Jonathan have chemistry. It made me want rewatch that hilarious Jonathan/Lana video, "Young Girl." If I could find a link I'd link it, but I can only find it on my hard drive.

And in conclusion, poor Lex!

God, MR is such a good actor!

you crack me up! yep Clana is so boring and yes poor Lex. *pets him* I laughed when I heard Lana say that she started smoking because of the stress. and the sheriff probably thinks that 24/7. *g*

I can actually sympathize with Clark jumping to the conclusion that Lex had engineered the whole thing based upon the evidence he had available. And I can see Lex doing that and feeling justified in doing it. My heart is breaking for both the boys.

I have to read a lot of happy fanfic to recover from that fight, though. I'm sure there will be some spanking in there somewhere. *g* I recommend serafina's "Fourth of July" fic!

I still vividly remember my first, "Oh God, MR is such a good actor" moment. It was the look on his face when he saw the picture of Lionel and Victoria. I will watch this show to the end because of MR's face.

My heart is broken too. I started crying in that scene and didn't stop until the ep ended. Then I went to sleep and dreamt that Clark realised what he'd lost and came begging for forgiveness. In my dream there was grovelling and a lot of tears. And requited love. Ahhh... thank you, subconscious!

I don't really expect this level of subtlety from the SV PTBs, but Lex truly looked shattered when he saw Clark bleeding. I wondered if we were supposed to be reminded of that. If we were, I think it was something that MR came up with rather than the PTBs. *hugs woobieLex* *hugs woobieMR*

Yes, MR has a wonderful grasp of his character and is able to convey subtle emotions (and emotional echoes) brilliantly. Regardless of whether it was the intention of the PTB or MR, it's great that it worked this way for you and I think they'd be pleased it did (MR would be for sure).
