Smallville bonding experience

I had a Smallville bonding experience with the new guy at work yesterday. We had Cheaper by the Dozen pulled up on pay-per-view to make sure it was working right, and I said, "Hey, I get to see Tom Welling!" NewGuy said, "Smallville!"

Me: Yeah! I love that show.

NewGuy: Me too! I just got into it recently, and I've been watching the dvds to get caught up. I love everything about the show except this one thing. You know that girl? Lana? I hate her!

Me: (laughing) I know how you feel!

NewGuy: I don't usually do this, but every time she comes on the screen I just have to yell things.

Me: (still laughing) "Shut up! Go away!"

So we're both cracking up about our mutual Lanahate. I recommended that he visit the TWoP website, home of Lexlove and Lanahate. As soon I said "Lexlove," NewGuy said, "I love that guy!"

The word spreads.

He's the first fellow SV geek I've met in RL except my sister, so it was pretty cool. And I definitely can't tell him about RPS. He's a bit, um, right-wing, so I won't even mention fake-person-sex to him (i.e., slash *g*).

Oh, and while I have you here, I enjoyed your ski-porn! You do still have the assertive Clark thing going on...I like it. And remember, if you're looking for inspiration, it's somebody's birthday every day!

But I'm trying to adopt a dog. Maybe the dog will geek out with me. Hee.

After I wrote the ski-porn, I was, like, uh, wow, Clark was kinda take charge! I like him that way! HoD must go out to betas soon. I've had horrid writer's block and can't finish the spaceship scene. *sigh*

Ha! I love bonding over TV shows, especially characters. I had a SFU bonding moment with a friend yesterday. :) Adults, it seems, don't watch Smallville here. :(

He was my first SV bonding experience except for my sister (we watch the show together every week and sing along with the theme song and just generally don't act our age--it's fun *g*).

I'm not sure who watches SV around here. My niece and her fiance watch it, also. The fiance really likes Lana--he says she's hot--(yuck) which is understandable, because she looks a lot like my niece.

What the heck, we can find bonding experiences online. :)
