Our local NBC affiliate refused to air The Book of Daniel tonight, so it aired on the local WB affiliate instead.

I enjoyed it. It was funny. And all the conversations with Jesus that had everyone so up in arms? (at least I think that's what the problem was) In my opinion, it is not unusual for a minister to talk to God all the time. So I'm not clear on what the big deal was. But I'm very seldom clear on (or even care about) what has the right wing christian extremists so het up.

I'll watch it again. Aidan Quinn, Ellen Burstyn, cute gay guy, manga -- what's not to like?

We didn't get it either and I couldn't find the WB. I was pissed. I'm an adult! I can make these decisions for myself. Besides, how could this piece of fiction be any more dangerous than Pat Robertson calling for the murder of the Venezualen president or asking the viewers to pray for the death of liberal supreme court justices? I don't understand inconsistant "moralism".

WB is on channel 42 KWBF here in Little Rock. It's an Equity Broadcasting channel. I'm not sure what it is Conway. It seems like it would be the same thing.

There's a Yahoo news story here about it that actually mentions KARK. It was one of four NBC affiliates in the country that caved. So stupid.

I knew that some religious group had activated it's membership to call and protest, because we started getting calls early Friday morning asking for channel 42's phone number (I work for a cable company). Turns out it was the American Family Association. I called channel 42 and thanked them for airing it.

I hope you get to see it! It was funny. :)
