Jun. 18th, 2004 11:05 amI got the job! My department manager formally offered it to me yesterday and I formally accepted it. She'll tell the other candidates today and then announce it probably Monday. I'll be starting in the position on Sunday, though. It will be more responsibility and more money, both of which will be good. I'll learn new things. I'll be able to utilize some skills that I haven't been able to in my current position. So, Yay me!

Date: 2004-06-18 04:31 pm (UTC)I'm currently a Customer Account Executive (CAE) for a cable complany. I do sales, billing, troubleshoot service problems, whatever the customers need. My new job is Lead CAE, which, my supervisor tells me, means I have one foot in management. I'll be kind of an assisitant supervisor. Besides everything I already do, I'll be responsible for evaluating the CAEs on my team and helping with on-the-job training. I'll spend less time communicating with customers, and more time helping the other employees be better at communicating with customers.

Date: 2004-06-18 04:34 pm (UTC)This whole process has been really stressful, and I've completely given in to my sugar addiction for the past couple of weeks. BUT I've only gained back about four pounds. Now that it's done and I'll be back on a regular schedule again, I'll be back to trying to be healthy and low carb. Wish me luck!
