Hey! I only have one other Arkansan on my flist--she's in Conway, and she's not really a fan, just a fellow Arkansan. :)

I see you and I have some friends, fandoms and interests in common. It's nice to meet you!

I just read your story, Streets of Smallville--OH! It broke my heart! What good story!

oh thank you! I generally like the story, but I was talked out of a black judge by a beta with an axe to grind, I think. I later found proof there *was* a black circuit judge in the era, and I've considered going back and editing it, but eh. It's done. The idea of Lex as The Red Headed Cowboy just wouldn't let me go.

I haven't read any SV in the last couple of years, I've been all consumed with Stargate, but I've been slowly going through some remembered sites and adding them to del.ici.ous--I'm getting tired of the bookmarks disappearing in a crash. I found a few stories that I'd like to re-read, though!

I did a search on AR when I moved here, there's a lot of people on LR(17693 Journals, as a matter of fact), but either they were 19 years old, or just insane. Plus, a lot of people to go through! Oh, speaking of which, I'm the same age as you, though I tend to keep the birthday covered up on my info page.

There's a few SV people left on my list, but not so many that are really active in SV anymore, too many new shiny toys combined with an incredibly sucktastic fourth season lured/drove them away. I faithfully watch, though. I'm so forgiving, that I just can't abandon a favorite for a few bad episodes. Boring, yes, but even super cheezy isn't boring!

I am a total spoiler-phobe. I'll go so far as to watch the preview at the end of the show, but otherwise, I don't want to know. All that being said, I have some high hopes for SV-S6 because Grant Ancier is out of the picture (RIP WB). Of course the folks at the new network could be even worse!

I've been casting about for something to write, thinking I might delve back into XF, or possibly SV. There was this idea I had about a drug induced mutations that was supposed to be an original novel, but science is moving faster than I can get it together--never mind it's been languishing on the hard drive for eleven years!

Did you read that article in the Dem-Gaz sometime last year (or maybe before that even) about the black circuit judge in Arkansas? I think his name was Dunbar--I remember that because my niece went to Dunbar school years ago. I think I remember the article saying he was the first black circuit judge. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Most of the people on my flist are SV fen, and still active. Some have stopped watching the show, but are still involved in the fandom. I didn't get into SV until the beginning of S3--I'd never even heard of the whole "fandom" concept, with fic and vids and fanart until then. It's been a fun ride! :)

S4 almost killed me with its suckiness--I taped the last eight eps of S4 and didn't watch them until right before the S5 premiere. S5 really picked things back up. I'm looking forward to S6. I'm in it 'til the end, by golly.

I've only posted one tiny piece of fic--strangely enough, it's a ficlet set in Lanning's Identical-verse. If you're interested, you can find it in my memories. I'm writing other stuff, but nothing is posted.

I make videos, mostly. They're in my memories too. If you like vids, check 'em out--let me know what you think! It's my contribution to fandom. :)

I liked the videos very much! The little story was interesting, Lex's Ebil!Twin is a perfectly despicable character, but you managed to give him a sheen of pathos, and make me just a little sorry for him--he's trying desperately to hold onto the mementos of his youth, even though they don't rightfully belong to him, except in that possession is 9/10th of the law!

MlleElizabeth and I had talked about a SV video a few years back, though I don't suppose she ever did anything with it. I am lost in trying to get the appropriate clips and programs together on the cheap! I'm struck with an idea for a video at least once a week, nd I keep writing them down on little scraps of paper. Perhaps I should try harder to get all of this together!
