Sittin' Time!

Four toenails down, six to go! Project toenail is progressing as planned, sir!

Watching TV, reading, sleeping...that's my life right now. I'm off work until at least September 15. I really miss playing games on the computer and being on the internet.

In case anyone is wondering what kind of butt surgery I had, I'm going to try to put the description behind a cut tag. I hope this works. For surgery info, follow the link to I had a cystectomy and a fistulotomy. This means that I had an infected cyst on the outside of my butt that was connected by way of a fistula (Latin for pipe) to an opening inside my butt. The surgeon had to close off the opening inside my butt and clean out the infection. Then he left the fistula open to heal from the inside out. That means I have a surgical opening about as big around as my thumb, and about six or seven inches deep, that is gradually healing. That's why I can't sit; because you shouldn't put pressure on a deep wound that is trying to heal.

Okay, I hope the cut tag works and I don't spam my flist with TMI.

Oh! You POOR THING. How awful. And painful! I really hope you've got someone helping you out. Your sister lives with you, right?

*hugs*

It has been very painful and unpleasant. I'm doing much better, though. I was actually in more pain right before the surgery because of the cyst. It felt like a very large cigarette burn. Even immediately after the surgery I was in less pain than before it, so, Yay surgery!

And yes, I've got my family helping me out. I live with my parents and my sister. My sister is a nurse, which has come in very handy.

*hugs back*

Yes, indeed. Thank you for the sympathy. :)
