capnzebbieI laughed quite a bit during the show tonight. I just love the audacity of it. I also gasped a few times and teared up a bit. The scene with Roslin and Gaius Cracked. Me. Up. I so admire Laura's ability to be incredibly threatening while at the same time being so sweet and sexy. LOVE! She's just wrong sometimes, and it's usually her actions that make me think sometimes that it would be better if the Cylons won, but I still love her--just a HUGE crush!
The interactions between Tighe and Six were just brilliant--whoa! Shit! Intense! Creepy! The violence and the tenderness reminded me a bit of the Sam/Kara sex scene from--last week? the one before? But this one wasn't nearly as gross and off-putting. Rather sexy, which is a word I have never before associated with Tighe.
Adama Sr and Roslin--*sigh* so sweet, the scenes with the book. And I loved what Adama said about not wanting to finish a book. I do the same thing! I'll read a book until I'm almost to the end, and then I'll start at the beginning again just to enjoy it all over again without knowing how it's going to end. (I do the same thing with great fanfic, too.) I teared up a bit when he was reading to her.
And how excellently crazy is Gaius? The scene where he crashed the worhsip service reminded me of the bit in the Bible where Jesus throws the moneylenders out of the temple. I know, not really the same thing at all, but it did put me in mind of that because of the emotional atmoshpere of the scene. And the last scene, with Lee standing there watching, probably thinking, "Wow, Laura, when you're right, you're right. Even when you're wrong, you're right. We are so fucked." That was another crack-me-up scene. I'm very happy.
eta Oh, I almost forgot! Did Chief bring it tonight, or what? I don't even know the actor's name, to me he's just the Chief, but that man is an amazing actor! So many emotional extremes tonight--very affecting and intense. I'm more strongly caught up in his part of the story than I have ever been before this.
I just realized I don't have a BSG icon. Gotta get right on that.
