I wonder when the new season of Smallville starts? I've been avoiding the usual websites and magazines because I want to be spoiler-free. I'm so anxious to find out what happens to everyone (well, most everyone--a certain person can just stay in a foreign land as far as I'm concerned).

Here's what I'm worried about. And this isn't a spoiler, just something from my own head, but I'll cut tag it anyway:

I'm worried that Lionel is going to clone Lex and have his own brain transplanted into the clone. Then I won't be able to love Lex anymore because he won't be Lex, he'll be Lionel in Lex's clone's body. And then I might have to stop watching the show. Didn't Lionel seem like he was getting ready for possible brain transplant surgery in that final scene?

I haven't been sleeping much lately and I'm on a lot of pain medication. These are the things I think about in the middle of the night.

The new season premieres on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at 8 p.m. EDT.

At this point, I'm prepared for them to do just about anything to the show, including transplanting Lionel into Lex. Sigh. I hope not, though.

Thanks for the info. :)

I might be able to handle the cloning thing. It could be pretty interesting to see MR doing JG doing Lionel, don't you think?

I think that the only plot development that might really drive me away from the show would be a romance between Lex and Lana. And even that might just make me scream a lot.
