My two cents on the inauguration

I've been pretty upset about Obama's choice to have Rick "Some of my Best Friends are Gay" Warren do the invocation for the inauguration. Then I found out that Joseph Lowery is doing the benediction. Lowery is brilliant, so I feel less betrayed now. That hypocritical, homophobic, bigoted, spiritually putrescent asshole Warren may have the first word, but by golly, Lowery is going to have the last, and best words.

It would be nice if CNN would give as much coverage to Lowery as they are to Warren.

oh, that was amazingly moving! i had tears in my eyes, watching it. talk about speaking truth to power. wow.

i've been really bummed about warren's invocation, too. glad to know dr. lowery will also be there.

Finding out about him REALLY cheered me up. I, too, had been just tremendously unhappy about Warren, even though I understood why he had been selected. I'm glad this news cheered you up, too. :-)
