Dollhouse

I hope folks are watching Dollhouse. It's a great show so far! I really like it, and Dushku and Whedon certainly deserve a good bunch of viewers. I can't believe Whedon trusted Fox to put another of his precious babies on Friday nights--I don't want this one to go the way of Firefly.

There is one thing missing in the show though: Humor. I miss the humor that laced BtVS, Angel and Firefly. These days, if a show doesn't have humor, even if it's primarily a drama, it's just not as enjoyable for me. And Whedon is the king of that, so he needs to pull out his funny pen and get cracking!

But anyway, check out the show if you haven't yet, because it's very good and it's going in interesting places.

hmm, yours is one of the few positive reviews i have heard so far!
i admit, i had the ep downloaded, but not watched so far, but I guess, I will try to give it a try!

I didn't realize other people weren't liking it. I haven't seen much buzz about it at all, but I enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to next week's show. I hope you enjoy it, too!

but i think, the second eps already won over some of the fans that didn't like it previously, so there is hope :)

I think that was the weekend I was passing the kidney stone, so I didn't get online at all. I'm glad I didn't; I would've been disapponted with the negative feedback. I think if it gets the chance it's going to go somewhere really cool.

I'm in!!! I've watched all 3 episodes now, and I think it's really interesting and entertaining, even though the concept of the Dollhouse is thoroughly disturbing. From the shows I've watched, it reminds me of the Pretender, and La femme Nikita. These organizations were also way disturbing and so wrong. Can't wait to see Echo blow the whole thing up.

Btw, you know what's also increasingly disturbing? Waifishly thin girls who look like anorectics. Just look at those upper arms on Sierra! Poor girl.
