Souter Plans to Retire From Supreme Court, A.P. Reports

Justice David H. Souter has told the White House that he
plans to retire from the Supreme Court in June, The
Associated Press reported. The retirement of Justice Souter,
who was nominated by President George H. W. Bush in 1990,
would give President Obama his first opportunity to appoint a
justice to the Supreme Court.


He's one of the conservative ones, isn't he? *crosses fingers hopefully*

I found out that he's kind of swing voter, sometimes with the liberals, sometimes with the conservatives. But yes, it'll be great to have an Obama appointee!
