I wonder if anyone ever wrote and Chip/Kurt slash from "Hatari!" I wonder that every time I see the movie (it's one of my favorites). I wouldn't even know where to look. hmmm. It seems unlikely that there would be slash in any kind of John Wayne fandom, but you never know.

ooh, hatari! i loved that movie when i was a kid. haven't seen it in years, which situation i must remedy. every once in a while, i play the main theme music at blip.fm, because it's wonderful.

kurt was hardy krueger, right? he was very pretty, iirc.

Yes! Hardy Kruger with an umlaut, and Chip was played by Gerard Blain with an accent aigu, so really, it's destiny.

Their characters were competing for Brandy, who wound up with Red Buttons, so Chip and Kurt wound up sharing some girl at a bar or something. Very slashy! :)
